    Very clean comfortable rooms, affordable for the area. Good service and nice view. Small walk to hotsprings. Would definitely recommend.

    We are from US.We were at this place for many years. The place is what you paing for,old furniture( I am glad they have change the carpet to luminate) . Lady,the owner told us all the times to bring us $$$ cash ( this way we could get10%off),because it doesn't metter,she counted as Banks have. Last year we found out that she is churging sooo many fees :To go to Nelson,or if for any reason the rate may change( up) and so on. But she has never told us about it. If you Whant to stay in this hotel,NEVER pay with US cash. We have paid more than if we would stay in hot sprigs resort. Will never stay here again,unless if the owner change. Be careful and check your recipt.Thanks.

    Great little place, not fancy but nice and about 50 paces away from the hotsprings with a restaurant with amazing food.

    Great alternative to staying at the overpriced resort. The couple that runs the mermaid are super nice and my whole family loves staying here.

    Really friendly staff. So nice I feel guilty leaving an honest review. VERY clean! Great for a budget. But... Like staying in your parents basement. Its old and worn out but they can't see that as they see how it used to look. And your dad is a 'handyman' not contractor. See pic of wall on opposite side of tv! Looks to be built in 1978. A/C essentially non existent. Windows without bug screens. Exceptionally close to hot springs. Nice to have kitchen and fridge. No sound insulation in walls.
